Council Recall Billboards
Here is a picture of one of the billboards that has gone up to remind people of the recall election on August 15th. Several of these will be put up around town. Our sign supplier did a great job turning these around in less than a week, plus they gave us a really great deal on the price once they found out who we were trying to remove from office.
The pictures of the recycling bins were taken this morning and they were edited and placed into the final version of the billboard within minutes. The billboards were completed within a few hours after that. Incredibly fast!

Are you saying no to recycling? That is what I get out of your sign. I believe the current adminsitration is trying to comply with state mandates. By not having a recycling program for years we were out of compliance. Isn't that what got us into trouble in the first place? Maybe it should have said no to Sunset. Just wondering.
No, we are just saying no to the existing recycling contract with Sunset Waste and no to this council's mistake in approving the contract even though Sunset's bid was submitted after the deadline.
So you agree that our city was out of compliance before this current administration took office. And that this current administration put us into compliance with the state. Your sign could mislead many of the citizens of McFarland to think that we should not recycle. It is a very strong visual statement. Maybe all of the signs should be redone with a no to Sunset instead of the recycling bin.
I hope that anonymous doesn't come to conclusions based on symbols, I would hope that he/she takes the time to read the fine print in the future. Nice signs!
